Multiwavelength Raman spectroscopy analysis of a large sampling of disordered carbons extracted from the Tore Supra tokamak
نویسندگان
چکیده
Disordered carbon often exhibit a complex Raman spectrum, with four to six components. Here, a large variety of disordered carbons, forming a collection of samples with a great variety of structures, are analysed using multi-wavelength Raman microscopy (325.0, 514.5, 785.0 nm). They allow us to extend Raman behaviour known for nanocrystalline graphite to amorphous carbons, (dependence with the excitation wavelength) and other known for amorphous carbons to nano-crystalline graphite, (differentiation of the smallest cluster size probed using different excitation wavelengths). Experimental spectra were compared to simulated spectra, built using known laws, to evidence a new source of broadening.

Thermal stability and long term hydrogen/deuterium release from soft to hard amorphous carbon layers analyzed using in-situ Raman spectroscopy. Comparison with Tore Supra deposits
The thermal stability of 200 nm thick plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposited a-C:H and a-C:D layers ranging from soft to hard layers has been studied and compared to that of deposits collected on the Tore Supra tokamak plasma facing components by means of insitu Raman spectroscopy. Linear ramp heating and long term isotherms (from several minutes to 21 days) have been performed and correlatio...
متن کاملSome inverse problems around the tokamak Tore Supra
We consider two inverse problems related to the tokamak Tore Supra through the study of the magnetostatic equation for the poloidal flux. The first one deals with the Cauchy issue of recovering in a two dimensional annular domain boundary magnetic values on the inner boundary, namely the limiter, from available overdetermined data on the outer boundary. Using tools from complex analysis and pro...
متن کاملLaser Micro-Raman Spectroscopy of CVD Nanocrystalline Diamond Thin Film
Laser micro-Raman spectroscopy is an ideal tool for assessment and characterization of various types of carbon-based materials. Due to its special optical properties (CrN) coated stainless steel substrates. NCD films have been investigated by laser micro-Raman spectroscopy. The fingerprint of diamond based materials is in the spectral region of 1000-1600 cm-1 in the first order of Raman scatter...
متن کامل1 OV / 3 - 3 Investigation of Steady - State Tokamak Issues by Long Pulse Experiments on Tore Supra
The main results of the Tore Supra experimental programme in the years 2007-2008 are reported. They document significant progress achieved in the domain of steady-state tokamak research, as well as in more general issues relevant for ITER and for fusion physics research. Three areas are covered: ITER relevant technology developments and tests in a real machine environment, tokamak operational i...
متن کاملFeedback Control Achievements and Endeavours in Tore Supra Plasma Wall Interactions Control
Feedback control on the power exhaust repartition will be required in any reactor like tokamak experiments. A review of the experimental studies in Tore Supra is given, where many feedback options have been empirically tried to optimise the edge radiation while staying very close to detachment so as to still insure good ICRF waves coupling.
